Stephania Suarez Zelaya
Stephania Suarez Zelaya, ballet and contemporary dancer originally from Mexico, started her dance training at Ballet Divertimento in Montreal. After obtaining her diploma, she attended the French Academie of Ballet in New York City to hone her technique. She was awarded a full scholarship on her second term. While in New York City, she performed along Amore Opera for their production of Carmen in 2017. Back in Montreal, she choreographed a dance for the band Eager Dance as well as performing in their shows. She also danced for the Ballet Ouest de Montreal as a corps de ballet member for their Nutcracker production in 2016 and 2019. She has performed as a soloist for different galas like Future Stars's Grand Premiere and the Chinese New Year gala at the Maisonneuve Theatre. Stephania loves to teach and transmit her passion for dance. Since 2021, Stephania pursues her academic development at McGill university in order to obtain her bachelors degree.
