Zeynep Memiguven

Zeynep, trained originally in ballet, was born and raised in Istanbul,Turkey. She graduated from the ballet academy at age 14. She then continued her training in ballet master classes and jazz classes in Istanbul. She also trained in Martha Graham and Pina Bausch contemporary techniques. She started teaching classical ballet at age 16 at the newly opened branch of her ballet school. After moving to Montreal she joined Mosaica Dance Company at Mcgill as a dancer and choreographer. She is now in her 4th year with Mosaica and performs mainly in contemporary and jazz. However her heart belongs to classical ballet. Back in Istanbul, she performed several roles as a soloist. Amongst them Giselle, Bluebird, and Sleeping Beauty. She also took part in several other classical and neoclassical ballet productions as a part of the corps de ballet.

Zeynep wishes to inspire young dancers at Dance Nanci Moretti and to squeeze out all their intelligence, confidence and creativity.
